The October Demo supports you and up to two friends — 3 players total. Haven hubs hold up to 10 people; that is not a 10-player mission party.
Based on official announcement & patch notes ↓Two spaces. Two different limits.
You + up to 2 friends
A shared social space
The launch announcement describes co-op with up to two friends. The October patch notes separately describe Haven hubs with up to ten players. Seeing more people in a Haven does not increase the mission-party limit.
Friends visible, but not in the same Haven?
Use this checklist based on the October patch notes. These are documented features, not a tested sequence of menu clicks.
- Check the Social View lists.
The notes name In Haven, Recently Partied With, Recently On Mission and Blocked List. Check the relevant list for the person you want to find.
- Send a friend or party invite.
The notes confirm you can invite other players in your Haven, alongside improved Steam friend invitations and platform friend integration.
- Join the party leader’s Haven.
If you are in separate Haven instances, the notes describe a button to join the leader’s Haven directly. A separate Haven is not the same as a larger mission party.
- Review party visibility before a mission.
Parties can automatically become private when starting a mission before the group is full. That keeps the party out of the available-parties list.
Keep the scope in view.
These answers apply to the October 2026 Demo announcement and patch. The saved sources do not confirm local split-screen, named console Demo platforms or cross-platform co-op. Do not treat Steam friend integration as proof of cross-play.
